The client was a major trading and manufacturing company in the food industry. The enterprise offers groceries and fresh produce, combining in-house production, a wide product range, and complex logistics. The project's main goal was to eliminate subjective assessments in procurement planning and create a single source of reliable data for warehouse, supply, and management teams. The development was prompted by inefficient current processes: the accounting system was used only for document processing, while analytics relied on manual spreadsheet consolidation. A tool was needed that would regularly extract data from the database, aggregate it, and provide ready recommendations on priority items, shortages, and expiration date risks.
