Building a Reliable Corporate Network

The client was a major manufacturer of flour-based confectionery products, producing cookies, gingerbread, cakes, and wafers for everyday consumption. The enterprise needed a modern and fault-tolerant technology foundation capable of unifying all production and administrative processes. The main goal was to build a scalable architecture that would ensure uninterrupted work for employees across three floors of the building. The project was initiated due to the absence of a unified gigabit local area network and the need to establish secure channels for remote access. It was essential to create an environment where data exchange happens instantly, and corporate information is reliably protected from loss through automatic backup to dedicated resources.

Client Request: Lack of Stable Network at Production Facility

The enterprise faced a critical shortage of reliable network infrastructure. Disconnected workstations prevented efficient data exchange, and the absence of seamless coverage led to connection drops when moving between floors. There was an urgent need to organize secure remote work and prepare capacity for heavy databases without risk of downtime.

Solution: Architecture Design and Installation in 75 Days

A team of two engineers implemented the turnkey project within tight deadlines. In the first phase, we designed a gigabit LAN and laid cable routes. Then we performed physical equipment installation and software configuration of routers. The final step was assembling fault-tolerant RAID arrays, deploying servers, and organizing operational HelpDesk support.

Stack: 1C:Enterprise, PostgreSQL, CryptoPro, RAID

Technology selection was driven by requirements for high load and security. PostgreSQL database underwent fine-tuning to ensure maximum database performance. Hardware RAID arrays guarantee data preservation during disk failures. CryptoPro usage is necessary for secure document workflow, and modern access points provided seamless roaming.

Impact: Uninterrupted Operation for 40 1C Users

With a modest budget of $3,000, the client received 100% seamless Wi-Fi coverage across all three floors of the factory. Server infrastructure demonstrates 24/7 availability, completely eliminating accounting system freezes. 25 workstations are under permanent maintenance, and automatic backup protects critical data. Remote access operates stably and securely.

Future Plans - Network Scaling and New Server Implementation

With growing production volumes, we are preparing to expand the local area network to new warehouse facilities. Over the next year, we plan to purchase additional equipment, modernize the video surveillance system, and integrate advanced load monitoring tools.
