The client was a large company specializing in comprehensive accounting and HR support services. The main goal was to transition from expensive cloud services to their own reliable system. The project was triggered by rapid growth in the client portfolio: over twenty-five organizations were being serviced, requiring dozens of accounting databases. Using disparate local solutions or renting cloud capacity created significant financial overhead and risks of confidential information leaks. The requirement was to design a centralized environment that would ensure high-speed processing of financial documents, guarantee complete isolation of each serviced company's data, and allow easy resource scaling when onboarding new clients without additional licensing costs.

Client Request: High Cost of 1C Cloud Solutions

Mass use of rented servers for managing dozens of companies' accounts became economically unfeasible. Scattered databases slowed down specialists' work, and the update process was critically complex. There was an urgent need to localize the system to reduce maintenance costs, prevent sensitive financial information from entering third-party clouds, and protect data.

Solution: Local Cluster Deployment in 2 Months

A team of two engineers designed the basic architecture from scratch. In the first phase, proper sizing was conducted and a physical server was purchased. We then implemented a three-tier architecture, deployed a fault-tolerant cluster, and performed deep database tuning for high disk subsystem loads. Finally, we configured automatic backup and centralized updates.

Stack: Windows Server, 1C:Enterprise 8, PostgreSQL

The base operating system was a reliable Microsoft product, providing flexible security policy configuration. To optimize the client's budget, free PostgreSQL was chosen instead of paid MS SQL. Its memory and scheduler parameters were specially adapted to the accounting platform's server architecture specifics, maintaining maximum system performance.

Impact: 100% Reduction in Database Costs and Speed Increase

The transition to proprietary infrastructure provided a multiple-fold reduction in recurring IT costs and 24/7 service availability without failures. Over 50 isolated databases operate successfully, with new companies connected within minutes. Information loss risks are completely eliminated through regular backups, and document processing speed remains consistently high even during peak loads at month-end closings and quarterly tax reporting periods.

Future Plans - AI Implementation for Primary Document Processing

The next phase will integrate neural networks for automatic recognition and routing of incoming documentation. This will free specialists from routine tasks. The system will eventually evolve into an intelligent assistant capable of independently interacting with the Federal Tax Service and generating correct responses to tax claims.
